CERTIFICATE OF ELIGIBILITY

Your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) is a document issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs that determines if you are eligible for a VA guaranteed home loan. Your COE does not mean you are guaranteed a home loan.

Based on your current active duty status or DD214 showing Honorable Discharge from active duty, the VA will provide, upon request, a form with your basic entitlement. If you have never used the VA loan for home purchasing before, you should have your full entitlement and be able to apply for a VA or CalVet loan with 100% financing.

HOW DO I GET MY COE?

There are two ways to acquire your Certificate of Eligibility. You can download the application form on this site, complete the fields and mail the form along with your proof of military service to the VA Loan Eligibility Center (the address is on the form). This process may take between 7-10 days.

We can also help you get a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility through an online, automated process known as WEB LGY, which could generate your COE in seconds.

DD-214 PROOF OF MILITARY SERVICE

Your DD Form 214 serves as your proof of military service and will be required by CalVet or the VA in order to complete your eligibility for financing. You will need a copy of this form before you can obtain a Certificate of Eligibility.
